Digital Playground’s success begins with a commitment to technological innovation. Digital Playground garners over 80% of high definition sales and is the leading provider of Blu-ray™ titles, commanding 25% of the market. The New Media department is working to amortize production costs across multiple delivery mechanisms beyond DVD, including: Internet, IPTV, set top box, mobile, Blu-ray™ Live, VOD. In 2008, Digital Playground fully optimized its website for the iPhone with over 200 full length movies. Digital Playground implemented H.264 encoding to create a seamless experience across multiple environments, so that the brand is customized for the latest Blu-ray protocols, the next generation of smart phones, the PS3, and other gaming console browsers. In 2009, Version 2.0 launched to rave reviews and is being heralded as deeper and more interactive than any adult website ever. On the cinematic side, Digital Playground began shooting in May 2008 exclusively on the RED digital camera—more brilliant than 35mm film and 4x’s the resolution of the best HD cameras.
