Joanna Angel hits the OC on the 4th!

Producer/director/performer/smart cookie/tiny person Joanna Angel and the BurningAngel girls will at the BurningAngel booth at Hootenanny in Irvine on the 4th of July.

This beats the hell out of the traditional 4th of July celebration venue in Orange County, which costs $60 or something to get in and if you — heaven forbid — if you die there on the 4th of July it'll take you half an hour to fall over, as my girlfriend at the time put it.

At the Hootenanny, the first music stage starts at 12:30 p.m. Scheduled to perform are The Reverend Horton Heat, Los Lobos and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy so if you thought this hootenanny was going to be folk music think again.

“Don't spend 4th of July at a lame BBQ, spend it with me at Hootenanny in Orange County, Calif.," Angel said. "Reverend Horton Heat and the Horrorpops are playing, along with some other great bands, there will also be some old school cars, really tall pompadours, and of course me at the BurningAngel booth."

For more information, visit the Hootenanny website.
